“C’mon,” Will urged. “This isn’t time to look for treasures. Let’s find the portal!”

Mina nodded. “I know. I can’t help it.” She tucked her treasures in her sack and followed Will out of the corridor.

He was in the lead now, and they were getting close—he could feel it. His walk turned into a trot, his armor clanking with every step.

He ran past a fountain room on his left. Past a library on his right. He glanced back and saw Mina slowing down, as if the library were pulling her in. But he waved her on. “Mina, c’mon!”

As he rounded the next bend in the passageway, he saw it—and instantly froze.

Will stood between two narrow pools of lava. Ahead of him, at the top of a stone staircase, was a swirling, spinning silverfish spawner.

But as Will took careful steps to the side, he could see past that spawner. He gazed in wonder at the large green frame, suspended just a few feet above another bubbling pool of lava.

The End Portal.

They’d found it. At last!
